As the Collegiate Road Season looms not too far off, the boys are already out at the TXBRA races. Last weekend at the Tour Of New Braunfels Road Race Kevin Lovelace took the win in the 4’s and Chad Haga managed a third place finish in the 1/2’s with his new team Super Squadra. This weekend at Belterra Shane Haga won the 3’s road race and placed second at Kenny Hill Autowerks Spring Classic Crit Race. In addition to Shane’s stellar weekend, freshman Ben Davis showed up for a victory in the 4’s crit. This year will prove to be one of the best for the Texas A&M Road Team. First race weekend is at Texas Tech February 27.
Could I dare suggest that a serious rivalry can develop in the SCCCC between Shane Haga and Nicky Boulle this season? Last weekend’s Driveway crit, SMU 1st and A&M 2nd in the cat 3 race. Looking foward to more memorable action the rest of the season.
